2010 Flukemaster Classic

We will be running the Flukemaster Classic pool again this fluke season which consists of monthly and season pools for the heaviest fluke. The only rule change that will be made is that the last week of May will count for the June pool, and the August pool will run through the end of the season. Here is a link to the Flukemaster page from last season. Click here

Fluke, Fluke, Fluke!!!!

Beginning this Saturday we will be sailing 7 days a week for fluke. Let's get ready to rumble!!!!

Sunday, 5/16/10 Report

We began the morning on some new ground for 2010, steaming all the way to Rockaway, NY, a trip that would prove to be unsuccessful. Made our way back to where we had our best fishing yesterday in hopes of an encore, and it paid off as we finished the day strong!! Rookie fisherman Mike Contri won todays pool with a 25 pound bass, and Mike Iskandar caught his limit up to 20 pounds.

Wednesday, 5/5/10 Report

If your name was Jimmy or Kenny you were in luck!! Jimmy Bufis and Ken "The Legend" Havens put on a clinic today by completely DOMINATING the bass grounds. Their performance would rival any Sunday morning ESPN saltwater show that is on. . . If your name was not Jimmy or Ken, you just watched in envy. Kenny Havens won todays pool with a 17 pound bass.

Saturday, 4/17/10 Report **Opening Day**

Opening Day 2010!! It felt good to be back fishing again even though it took a while for the bass to bite. We headed out to Romer Shoal to begin the day, but it was not good. Made a shift back to the west, and set up for the tide change. Once we got some strength to the outgoing water, the bass turned on. Dave Plumacher started us off with the first bass of the year, and he wasn't done there. Dave ended up with his limit on bass up to 19 pounds. Rookie bass fisherman, Michael Ginerelli, was also on a tear catching his limit up to 22 pounds including the pool winner. Mike Lee was a close second with a 21 pound fish.
